Neil Grover was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he fell in love with the piano at the age of seven. His parents began taking him to piano lessons where he swiftly became a failing student, given that he strayed away from music theory and focused more on creating his own compositions by ear. However, he continued to play the piano, learned guitar, and began writing songs after his tumultuous experiences in boarding school. His musical influences stem from his childhood favorites such as Michael Jackson, The Beatles, The Crash Test Dummies as well as his parents’ Indian music collection from Bollywood films. Grover’s songs tend to reflect a longing for meaningful connections, a unique boldness to attack life’s obstacles, and a desire to probe others to shape their perceptions with originality.
