Praised as having a voice that hits you with the intensity of a hundred Irish poets and musicians”“ Kenan Flannery is a 23 year old IYMA’s award winning folk songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. His music is a fusion dance of his deep love for Americana folk music from the likes of Townes Van Zandt and Blaze Foley mixed with his Irish roots in storytelling and ballads inspired by The Dubliners and The Wolfe Tones.
Kenan is truly a storyteller for the damned and broken, writing heart wrenching songs and stories. He’s performed in some of the biggest venues in Ireland and supported The Wolfe Tones at their sold out show in Dublin in front of 2000 people. Supporting the likes of Gravedancer, Emmo, and a show booked with Nick Shoulder’s, he has finally decided to make the journey stateside for a 2 month debut tour of America from Montana to Maine with his dear music brother Isaac Elliot.
He has released a multitude of new music in the past few months and is working on a documentary involving his travels of America and the journey of self discovery.
Wild, humorous and a little bit quirky his live shows are truly one of a kind and his unique style of music and showmanship makes him one of Ireland's gems in the rough.
